DST is a modern rock band formed in Dayton, OH. Their powerful sound and meaningful lyrics move the members of the band to play from their hearts and souls. It's apparent to anyone who has seen them perform. They have found that many other people share the love for their creation.
During the past year, DST has been refining their sound and perfecting every song in preparation for the release of their debut album, Deep Within. It has been a great learning experience for the band, finding the tones that make their music come alive. DST recently entered the studio with producer and sound engineer Tim Berger. Mr. Berger has worked with such artists as B.B. King, the Count Basie Orchestra, and Don McLean. Mr. Berger has helped DST capture the unique sounds that makes their music come alive. For the release of their debut disc, a promotional campaign will be launched, including a radio spot, newspaper advertisement and press release to the local news media. Beginning with the release party for the band, the new disc will be made available to the public, along with other DST branded merchandise.
DST has gained momentum over the past few years, as one of five bands to compete in Wright State University's Battle of the Bands, held at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. They won the contest and were invited to play at May Daze, an annual on-campus celebration. The band opened at McGuffy's for Dave Hlubeck, formerly of Molly Hatchet. The show was chosen as an editor's pick by Impact Weekly. Their music has been aired several times on WXEG radio during regular programming. Playing some of Dayton's most popular venues, including the Canal Street Tavern, Elbo's, and McGuffy's House of Draft, DST draws their diverse fan base from local colleges, including Wright State University, University of Dayton, and Sinclair Community College.
